Make Food More
We love food, and we use it to build communities and bonds. We need to use our own platform in the office to do the same, testing our own ideas and making food more ourselves. More pizza!
Prioritize your responsibilities with the company objectives as a guide. Use your time on what is most important, not what is most urgent. Be comfortable saying no to attractive distractions. Time is our most important resource; the biggest cost is the missed opportunity to do something else.
Be Effective, Not Busy
Optimize the time you and your team spend reaching a prioritized goal. Focus on root cause, rather than symptoms. Ask yourself and your colleagues if you really need to be in a meeting. When is perfection needed, and when is good enough, good enough? Drive to reach completion.
Care Deeply About Customer Experience
Infrastructure, decks, products; everything we do should reflect our respect and understanding of great design and great customer experiences by being delightful, high quality, intuitive and concise. Put users front and center by building for our Olivias, and making their lives easier.
Share Your Views, Listen to Others’
Anyone can influence how we run the company. Everyone should be eager to hear feedback, and be ready to show action against that feedback. We're stronger together. The better we collaborate, the more effective we are. When we work well as a team, no one can compete with us.
Foster Mutual Trust and Respect
Creativity is cultivated in an inclusive environment. We all must nurture ideas to allow them to grow. Offer solutions instead of shutting off thought processes. Keep criticism constructive. Trust each other to do a great job. Be authentic, and be vulnerable.
Think Big, Start Small
Just build it. Fail fast, learn, and adapt. Half of our ideas won't work, the ones that do work will require several iterations. So, make what we believe is right as soon as possible, and learn from the inevitable mistakes. Be open to sharing our mistakes, so we all can learn.
Bias to Action
Act in the best interest of the user, the team, and the company. Take ownership to solve problems - don’t wait for someone else to do it. Hold yourself accountable, and motivate others to get things done. Use your initiative to make calculated decisions that can drive the company forward. Being a bystander does not serve anyone: when we act, we win, or we learn.
