Today, we are excited to announce a new partnership with LG Electronics, one of the largest and most respected home appliance brands in the world.

When we released Drop Scale, the connected kitchen scale, back in 2014, it was the first appliance on the Drop smart kitchen platform.

Since then, we’ve partnered with Bosch, GE Appliances, and Kenwood. Together these partnerships allow over 100 different appliances, connected and non-connected, to integrate with the Drop Recipes app. Some as small as a kitchen scale and some as large as a double cavity oven.

The app now has close to 1,000 appliance-ready step-by-step recipes, everything from sweet desserts to savory mains, and we are adding new recipes of all kinds at a rapid pace.

Joining forces with LG Electronics, we are now in an even better position to realize our mission of empowering anyone to make great food at home — using the appliances they have in their kitchen with ease and to their fullest capability.

The partnership will initially focus on ovens and ranges equipped with SmartThinQ™ technology, and the first Drop-powered appliances from LG will be available before the end of the year.

There are many more brand partnerships and appliance integrations to be added to the Drop Kitchen OS in the coming months. In the meantime, please let us know in the comments or via mail what appliances you would like to be able to use with the Drop Recipes app.
